Understanding Developmental Language Disorder
(DLD) Workshop
Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) affects two students per class. Yet, most educators have never heard of DLD. Students with DLD have difficulties in using and understanding language, impacting their learning, behaviour, and social interactions. Most students with DLD go unidentified, which results in them not developing to their full potential.

Learn how to recognize and support students with DLD.

Following this workshop, participants will be able to:
• Understand DLD and how it differs from other learning challenges.
• Identify the symptoms displayed by students with DLD.
• Outline the importance of early identification and intervention.
